Godby High School seniors and families have been exclusively invited to take part in a special FAFSA® Beta 2 opportunity through a partnership between ASPIRE Capital Region and Bridge2Life in Broward County.

The U.S. Department of Education is testing the new 2026–27 FAFSA® form before its official release on October 1. This is your chance to be among the first in the nation to complete it—and help improve the FAFSA® experience for students across the country.

Please sign up as soon as possible. Not all students who request will be invited to participate, so the sooner you request, the better!

 

FAFSA Beta 2 Next Steps

1. Create FSA IDs

   • Both the student and at least one parent must create their own FSA ID.

   • Use your personal email address (not your @leonschools.net).

   • This video tutorial will walk you through the process — it should take less than 10 minutes.

2. Register for Beta 2

   • Once your FSA IDs are ready, register at the Beta 2 site.

3. Confirmation Email

   • After registering, you’ll receive an official confirmation email from the U.S. Department of Education.

   • Remember, only your personal email will work — school email accounts cannot receive these messages.

4. If Selected

   • You will get a second email with your personalized URL to access and complete the new FAFSA form.

   • You may begin the form at any time.

5. Virtual FAFSA Workshop

   • Date/Time: Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 6:00 PM

   • Link to Join: FAFSA Beta 2 Workshop

   • Hosted by: ASPIRE and Bridge2Life

   • Over 15 college and university financial aid experts will be online to answer questions.

   • Help will be available in English and Spanish.

6. If Not Selected for Beta 2

   • You can still attend the FAFSA Workshop.

   • The FAFSA will officially open to everyone by October 1, 2025.

7. Godby High School Incentives

   • Students who complete their FAFSA and upload their confirmation letter to this portal by midnight, October 17, 2025, will:

     • Receive a $20 Amazon gift card.

     • Be entered into weekly $50 Amazon gift card drawings.
